The library at St.Teresa’s Arts and Science College is computerized with library software e-library solutions. The Library caters to the requirements of both the undergraduate as well as the postgraduate students.

MEMBERSHIP
1. All the members of the staff and students of the college are eligible to be members of the library. Books and other library materials are open for use and subscription only to the members of the library.
2. Explicit Written permission from the Principal is necessary for outsiders to use the Library facility

Issue of Books
Users can borrow only a single copy of the same book.
Return/Renew
Books must be returned on or before the due date.
Reference Books
DAMAGE/ LOSS OF LIBRARY MATERIALS
Ø When a member receives a book from the library he/she satisfy himself/herself that the book is in sound condition. If it is not, the matter shall at once be brought to the notice of the librarian, failing which the member shall be liable to replace the book with a new copy. Marking, underlining, writing, tampering and tearing away the pages of books are punishable with fine or replacement of the book or both.
Ø Lost books must be reported to the librarian immediately and replaced or paid for within 30 days
Ø Lost library books that are recovered, must be handed to the librarian as they remain the property of the college library
Ø If the books are lost, the borrower shall replace the books of the same edition or latest edition or pay as per Govt directives.
Final year students are required to return all their library books, and any outstanding dues, they should obtain no due certificate from the librarian before proceeding to collect the Hall Ticket.

LIBRARY SERVICES
Library offers the following general services
(a) Lending Service
Lending service is the primary service of the library. All the documents in the library are bar-coded.
(b) Reference services |
Library has collection on all branches of knowledge for reference. The Library staff may be approached for any help in information retrieval.

(c) Photocopying service
A fully equipped reprographic facility with a copier caters to the copying requirements of users. There is a facility for photocopying of library documents, which are not lent outside the library.
(d) Newspaper Clipping Service
Library maintains clippings from leading Newspapers on news related to the Institute. Library provides 4 newspapers.
