History
St. Teresa’s Arts and Science College, Mala was started in 1975 by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The propelling force behind this decisive venture was the farsighted visionary Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of the CMI congregation. St. Teresa’s Arts and Science College began as a private institute offering different UG Courses with 240 students and 14 members on teaching staff. The college was granted affiliation by the University of Calicut in 2013. The college is registered under the ST. TERESA’S EDUCA-TIONAL AND CHARITABLE TRUST, KOTTAKKAL-MALA (REG. NO.621/IV/SRO, EKM 24-09-2012). Consistent support and ample platforms are extended to students who aspire to excel in academics, sports and arts. Job -oriented add on courses are also provided to mould our students with employable skills that are in tune with emerging challenges of job market.
